Salvadori jewel born from a drawing

30 May 2020

It all starts with a sudden inspiration: a shape, a perfume, a memory and the idea comes to life.

Graphite begins to trace itself on the paper, lines that branch out in a drawing, until it becomes a real jewel. From here begins the more technical phase that combines the manual skill and experience of the goldsmith: a series of precise actions made of thousandths of a millimeter, angles, curves and attention to detail, which leads to the creation of a model. When everything is perfect, you are lucky! Sometimes to achieve the perfection of our jewels we start the process from scratch, making changes, thinning and lightening, or on the contrary, strengthening some parts. When the shape is defined, we proceed with the drilling: here the diamonds will be positioned with great care and precision.

It is an intense and meticulous process that distinguishes Salvadori creations and drives us to create precious jewels of the highest quality. To obtain the first prototype in gold or platinum, the entire processing phase can take up to 3/4 months of work. Even more for complicated pieces. For us, jewelery is a creation that born in our hands, from paper to diamonds laid down in gold and platinum.
