Salvadori offers its customers GIA Certified Diamonds, which are diamonds recognised by the Gemmological Institute of America, the most prestigious diamond-grading institute in the world.
The internationally-recognised GIA Certificate is issued by the Gemmological Institute of America, which was founded in 1931 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Over the years, other chapters of this institute have sprung up around the world. Today, the Los Angeles chapter stands out for its reliability becoming the most important for all diamond certifications.
This Institute is considered the world’s foremost authority on diamonds, also due to the fact that it developed today’s international diamond grading system, known as the system of the “Four Cs”. The Four Cs (Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat) is an international standard for determining the value of a diamond.
It is interesting to note that the Institute does not sell the precious stones, but only certifies them thereby providing completely impartial and accurate certification of a diamond.
The GIA diamonds are further certified by the Salvadori Guarantee provided directly by the gemmologists Marzia and Monica Pendini, who graduated from the Gemmological Institute of America.
