The magnificent work of Fancy Diamonds!

Non-white diamonds, the so-called “Fancy” Diamonds are the rarest in the world. For example, only one fancy coloured diamond is found for every 10,000 natural diamonds.

The value of a “coloured” diamond” increases with the intensity of the most prominent colour within the diamond. The intensity scale is divided as follows: Faint, Very Light, Light, Fancy Light, Fancy Intense, Fancy Vivid and the rarest, Fancy Dark, Fancy Deep.

Not all Fancy diamonds have the same rarity. Red, green, pink and blue diamonds are the rarest of any coloured diamond. Yellow and brown diamonds are the most popular of all fancy coloured diamonds, although still rare.

The Salvadori collection contains jewellery pieces made with Fancy diamonds. The Night and Day Necklace has a fancy yellow diamond of 2.76 carats embellished by 136 white diamonds totalling 3.51 carats. The classic and elegant Fancy Colour Diamond Ring features a “Fancy Intense” yellow diamond surrounded by beautiful diamonds.

One of the latest creations is a Fancy ring of 5.02 carats with baguette-cut diamonds totalling 0.89 carats and a ring, always with Fancy diamond, accompanied by two triangle-cut diamonds with a total of 1.14 carats.

Finally, Salvadori Diamond Atelier also offers customers a ring with a Fancy Yellow diamond, VS1 purity, of 11.29 carats, surrounded by two heart-shaped diamonds. All the diamonds are GIA certified.
