For more than one hundred and sixty years, Salvadori has been one of Venice’s most captivating and fashionable jewellers. Walking under the arcades of St Marks, its window immediately stands out. Nestled between famous cafes and shops, it stands out like a diamond with its beautiful jewellery and splendid rings, and watches from the most prestigious brands.
This is because Salvadori originally made handcrafted watches. Beginning in the mid-19th century, the passion among the upper classes for mechanical watches reached its peak, so much so that the first real collectors were born in this period.
Against this historical background, Salvadori seized the need of experts and enthusiasts for a reliable reference point on the latest developments in the watchmaking industry, particularly Switzerland. Confirming its importance in Italy, the small shop soon became one of the few official retailers of Rolex watches. With a huge supply of spare parts and a wide variety of watches, the words “The best of times are yet to come” were engraved on a beautiful gilded hourglass positioned at the entrance of the shop.
And so they were.
Salvadori is now one of the leading companies in Venice for the sale and certified assistance of Rolex, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Panerai and Tudor watches. The servicing and repairs are performed inside two watchmaking laboratories by expert technicians work, who take part in refresher courses every year organised by the watchmaking companies.
